How Nik Nak Anew began
My Story – Nik Nak Anew
Old Furniture. New Beginnings. A Little Bit of Magic.
Hi, I'm Nikki. Delighted to have you along for journey.
Welcome to Nik Nak Anew, where forgotten furniture gets a fabulous second chance!
I've always loved the idea of taking something old, tired or overlooked and transforming it into something beautiful, quirky and completely unique.
What started as a love of getting creative, experimenting with colours and giving furniture a new lease of life has grown into Nik Nak Anew — my little creative business, built around imagination, individuality and a passion for upcycling.
A Little Paint, A Lot of Personality!
I'm not one for boring furniture!
I love bold colours, beautiful patterns, unexpected details and creating pieces that make people stop and smile.
From vibrant pink writing desks and colourful botanical designs to magical Harry Potter-inspired commissions, no two projects are ever quite the same.
Sometimes it's a complete transformation, sometimes it's the smallest detail that makes all the difference. But every piece gets plenty of care, creativity and a little bit of love.
Giving Forgotten Furniture a New Story
For me, upcycling is about so much more than painting furniture.
It's about seeing the potential in something that someone else might have given up on.
It's about reducing waste, celebrating craftsmanship and creating something wonderful without always having to buy new.
I believe furniture should have personality, tell a story and bring a little happiness into your home.
And the best bit? Every piece is one of a kind!
Made With Love, Just for You
Alongside my ready-to-buy creations, I also love working on bespoke commissions.
Whether you've got an old piece of furniture that needs a makeover or an idea for something completely different, I can help turn your vision into something special.
From bright and beautiful to wonderfully weird, I'm always up for a creative challenge!
Thank You for Being Part of My Journey
Nik Nak Anew is a small business with big ideas, fuelled by creativity, imagination and probably far too many pots of paint!
Every enquiry, purchase, kind comment and recommendation means so much.
Thank you for supporting handmade, choosing something different and helping me give old furniture a brand-new chapter.
Craftsmanship & Creativity
Where imagination meets craftsmanship, and every piece tells a story.
At Nik Nak Anew, I believe beautiful furniture isn't just about how it looks — it's about the creativity, care and attention that goes into making it special.
Every piece is lovingly transformed by hand, combining traditional craftsmanship with bold colours, beautiful patterns and unexpected little details.
From carefully preparing and painting to adding those finishing touches that make a piece truly unique, I take pride in every stage of the transformation.
I love thinking outside the box, experimenting with new ideas and turning ordinary, forgotten furniture into something extraordinary.
Whether it's a quirky statement piece, a vintage treasure or a bespoke commission, no two creations are ever the same.
Handcrafted with care. Designed with imagination. Made to be loved.
Because at Nik Nak Anew, it's not just furniture — it's creativity brought to life!
Sustainable Design with Heart
Beautiful furniture shouldn't cost the Earth.
At Nik Nak Anew, I believe that old furniture deserves new beginnings, not the rubbish tip!
Every piece has a story, and I love giving forgotten, tired and unwanted furniture a second chance to shine.
By rescuing, reimagining and lovingly transforming existing pieces, I'm helping to reduce waste while creating something beautiful, practical and completely unique.
For me, sustainability doesn't mean compromising on style. It means embracing creativity, celebrating imperfections and seeing potential where others might not.
From bold colours and quirky patterns to thoughtful finishing touches, every makeover is about turning something old into something worth treasuring for years to come.
I take pride in creating furniture that's not only full of character but also a more thoughtful choice for our planet.
Because sometimes the most beautiful things aren't brand new — they're simply waiting to be loved again.
Less waste. More imagination. Beautifully renewed.
At Nik Nak Anew, sustainability isn't just about saving furniture — it's about creating something wonderful from what we already have.
“Nik Nak Anew transformed our tired family bookshelf into a gorgeous, vibrant centrepiece. The attention to detail and love poured into it is truly amazing.”
